Breach of regulations
- Any breach of the term and conditions may result in cancellation or termination of your booking. If any booking is cancelled or terminated due to this condition the hirer shall remain liable for the charges due up until that time.
To help the children in your care play safely, please follow these simple rules.
Please note, you (the Parent/Guardian) understand that participation in Adventure Island Ltd activities/parties may carry risks which may include but are no means limited to, scrapes, bruises, cuts, and more serious injuries such as broken bones, paralysis, or death and thereby you (the Parent/Guardian) accept and agree to these risks and on behalf of any children in your care. This would also include the negligence of other participants.
RULES OF PLAY, to be adhered by Parents/Guardian and all children:
- Children must be always accompanied by an adult. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children and are NOT permitted to leave them unattended including areas outside the facilities i.e. stairwell, elevators, and car park.
- No shoes must be worn in the play area, but socks must be always worn. Adults wanting to enter the climbing frame to retrieve children must first seek assistance from staff as there are height and weight restriction in place.
- Only children who are under 4ft 9 can use the designated play frame and only children 3 years and under can enter the toddler area.
- It is forbidden to climb on the netted walls or the system structure.
- Any loose articles must be removed before playing e.g. jewellery, pens, watches, ties, money, sharp objects etc. Children who wear glasses or contact lenses should take extra care and Parents/Guardians should be extra vigilant.
- It is advisable for children to wear long sleeve tops, which can be tucked in during the play session.
- When using the slides, children must keep their arms tucked in, face the direction of the slide and descent one child at a time.
- When using the trampolines only one person at a time and jump socks must be worn. Please see member of staff to purchase jump socks if required. Parents/Guardians must be extra diligent to ensure the children jump within their ability.
- Children who are unwell should not use the facility.
- Children are not permitted to eat sweets or chew gum whilst playing on the equipment. Snacks and drinks may only be consumed in the designated seating and party areas. No food or drink to be brought in from outside sources.
- Parents/Guardians are advised to encourage their children to use the toilet facilities before playing.
- If you have a particular concern regarding your child’s safety, please speak to a member of staff.
- Food provided may contain nut or nut -based products. Please inform a member of staff when ordering food of any food allergies and it is advisable if you (Parent/guardian) not to order food if you are unsure.
- Smoking is only permitted in the car park 5 metres away from the perimeter of the building.
- As flashing lighting etc and music is used in certain facilities of the paly centre, it is advisable to ask a member of staff to show you the areas so you the Parent/Guardian can decide to allow your child entry.
- For the safety of all children using the play area, destructive or disruptive behaviour is not allowed. The management reserve the right to remove anyone behaving in an unacceptable manner.
- Please always keep your belongings with you as Adventure Island Ltd are not responsible for your personal belongings.
- Please inform a member of staff of any accident within the facilities.
- In the event of fire or emergency evacuation of the facility, please DO NOT go onto the play structure to collect your child. DO NOT stop to collect your belongings. Our staff are trained in evacuation procedures and will ensure all children evacuate the facility quickly and calmly. Please leave the building by the nearest fire exit and proceed to the car park taking care. Please follow any instructions given by our staff.
- Please ensure that your child adheres to any instruction or directions issued by the staff during the play session.
- Balls or other objects should not be thrown at each other.
- Fighting or Bullying will not be tolerated. Guilty parties may be asked to leave.
- Report all accidents to a member of staff, to ensure that we can provide any necessary assistance and minimise the potential of reoccurrence. These will be logged and are an important part of ongoing safety audits.
- All damages to the Adventure Island property either accidental or deliberate must be reported to a member of staff.
- Report any behavioural concerns to a member of staff. Don’t attempt to intervene yourself.
Please note Adventure Island Ltd and the staff who work within are not responsible for any damage to vehicles or loss of valuables from vehicles left in the car park whilst using the facilities.
Party booking terms & conditions.
Bookings
- Bookings can be made online.
- No person under the age of 18 will be accepted as the hirer.
- Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the deposit.
- Parties are booked for a 1 hour & 45-minute period.
- Minimum booking required of 10 children for a party package.
- Maximum numbers for an exclusive party package are 100.
Charges and payment
- All bookings are non – refundable deposit to be paid in cash or card.
- Remaining balance to be paid on the party day by cash or card only.
Cancellations
- All cancellations must be made in writing by the named hirer giving 2 weeks’ notice. In the event of the hirer cancelling a booking within the 2 weeks prior to the party date or failing to attend, the full balance must be paid. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS ON CANCELLED PARTIES.
- Adventure island ltd reserves the right to refuse any party booking or to cancel or terminate any bookings for any reason whatsoever. All monies paid in respect of a booking cancelled in accordance with this condition will be refunded but adventure island ltd will not be liable for any expenditure incurred or loss sustained directly or indirectly by the hirer because of the cancellation.
Arrival
- It is the responsibility of the group to arrive on time. Sessions will begin and end at the specific time.
- Arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to booking time to allow set up.
- All children must be signed in.
Departure
- It is the hirer’s responsibility to vacate the premises at the correct time to enable the next booking or other customers to begin their session.
Food
- Staff must be informed of all allergies prior to the party date.
- Only food purchased from Adventure Island café can be consumed in the premises.
- The party hirer is permitted to bring their own birthday cake.
